Not a death (the card has never meant that, and any reader who lets you think it does is enjoying themselves at your expense), but a genuine ending, of the kind that does not get reversed. Reversed, Death is the thing kept on life support, the relationship that finished months ago and is still being attended, the identity you have outgrown and keep putting back on. Nothing new arrives until this is let go, which is the least popular true thing in the deck.
