Tarot Card Puller
Justice

Justice

Number 11 Air Libra

A major arcana card: the big weather rather than the daily forecast.

Upright

consequencefairnesstruthaccountability

Cause and effect, arriving. Justice is the card of things being weighed properly: a decision that will be made on the facts, a consequence catching up, a contract meaning what it says. It is not a moral card so much as an accurate one, and it is indifferent to whether the accuracy suits you.

Reversed

unfairnessavoided responsibilitybiasa reckoning delayed

The scales are off. Reversed, Justice is a genuine unfairness, a situation where the facts are not being looked at, or someone declining to own their part in something. It also shows up for people judging themselves by a standard they would call cruel if it were applied to anybody else.

What is in the picture

Sword up, scales level, sat between pillars with the curtain drawn behind. The sword is raised before the scales have settled, which has always been the uncomfortable part of the picture.

What it says about…

The line a reading leads with, depending on what you said you were asking about.

A bit of everything

Upright: consequences arriving, fairly. Look honestly at your own part first.

Reversed: something here is not fair, or not being weighed on the facts.

Love and relationships

Upright: an honest accounting between two people. Overdue and survivable.

Reversed: one person carrying more of this than the other, and both pretending otherwise.

Work and direction

Upright: a contract, a review, a decision made on the record. Have your evidence in order.

Reversed: a judgement made on something other than the work. Worth challenging, carefully.

Money and security

Upright: the numbers will be what the numbers are. Look at them.

Reversed: a bill, a tax, or a debt catching up. It gets worse unopened.

Me, honestly

Upright: own your share. Not more than your share: that is a different card.

Reversed: you are prosecuting yourself under a law you would repeal for anyone else.

A decision I am stuck on

Upright: decide on the facts, written down, with the inconvenient ones included.

Reversed: you are weighing this with a thumb on the scale.

With other cards

With The Hanged Man

A judgement that cannot be hurried. Something is being weighed and the waiting is part of the weighing, not a delay in it.

If this card leads

Write down the facts, including the one you keep leaving out.

As a yes or no

Upright, it reads as maybe. Reversed, no.

“I can look at what is true here.”

Draw it in a reading

The meaning above, applied to something you are actually asking about.

Turned into a star sign, and only to check whether the cards landed in a familiar element.

Written back into the reading. Nothing reads it and decides what you need to hear.
